Madelin Parsley, a finalist in Narrative’s 2019 Winter Story Contest, is a graduate of Amherst College, where she received the Ralph Waldo Rice Prize. She is an MFA candidate in fiction at Vanderbilt University. Having grown up in the Nebraska Panhandle, she now lives in Nashville.
