Madison Dettlinger won First Place in Narrative’s 2018 30 Below Contest. A native of Grosse Pointe, Michigan, she graduated from the University of Michigan with degrees in English and political science, along with a subconcentration in creative writing. She lives in New York City, where she is an assistant in the book division at Abrams Artists Agency.
