Mark Kyungsoo Bias, a recipient of the 2022 Joseph Langland Poetry Prize and the 2020 William Matthews Poetry Prize, earned his MFA from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. His work has been supported by the Saejowi Initiative for National Integration, which seeks to provide aid to North Korean refugees. Born in Daegu, South Korea, he lives in Seoul.
