Mark Russell Gelade was born in London and holds a BA in creative writing from Concordia University in Montreal as well as a MA in poetics from New College of California. His short story “The Bridge Is Down” won the 2004 World’s Best Short Short Story Contest, sponsored by Florida State University and judged by Robert Olen Butler. He lives in San Francisco with his wife.
