Michael Dickman and Matthew Dickman, poets and brothers, were born in Portland, Oregon. Matthew’s first collection, All-American Poem (Copper Canyon Press, 2008), received the American Poetry Review/Honickman First Book Award. Michael is the author of The End of the West (2009) as well as Flies (2011), which received the 2011 James Laughlin Award from the Academy of American Poets. He also won the 2008 Narrative Prize for his poem “Returning to Church.” Together they wrote 50 American Plays (Copper Canyon Press, 2012).
