Noah Eli Gordon is the author of eight books, including The Area of Sound Called the Subtone, selected for the 2004 Sawtooth Poetry Prize; Novel Pictorial Noise, chosen for the 2006 National Poetry Series Open Competition and for the 2007 San Francisco State Poetry Center Book Award; A Fiddle Pulled from the Throat of a Sparrow, recipient of the 2006 Green Rose Prize; and The Year of the Rooster (2013). He is an assistant professor in the MFA program at the University of Colorado, Boulder.
