Paul Griner was born in Boston. He is the author of two novels, The German Woman and Collectors, as well as the story collection Follow Me. His story “Newbie Was Here” won Third Place in Narrative’s Spring 2009 Story Contest. A graduate of the University of New Hampshire and of Harvard, Griner received his MA in creative writing at Syracuse and was a Fulbright Scholar to Portugal. He is professor of English and the director of creative writing at the University of Louisville.
