Peggy Orenstein is the author of Girls and Sex: Navigating the Complicated New Landscape (2016), as well as the New York Times bestsellers Cinderella Ate My Daughter and Waiting for Daisy, a memoir. Other works include Flux: Women on Sex, Work, Kids, Love and Life in a Half-Changed World and Schoolgirls: Young Women, Self-Esteem, and the Confidence Gap. Born in Minneapolis, Orenstein is a graduate of Oberlin and lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her husband and daughter.
