Rebecca McKanna was a finalist in Narrative’s Winter 2014 Story Contest. Born in Bettendorf, Iowa, she earned her undergraduate degree in journalism and psychology from the University of Iowa and an MFA in creative writing from Purdue University (2015). She lives in Lafayette, Indiana.
