Ree Davis won First Place in Narrative’s Fall 2007 Fiction Contest for her story “Watermark.” She has previously published in literary journals and was first runner-up in a short fiction contest in Hong Kong. Davis graduated from Cornell University with degrees in design and architecture and spent years crisscrossing the United States, Europe, and Latin America. She has lived on both US coasts, as well as in Japan and China. She now makes her home with her husband in southwest Virginia.
