Richard Smith and Tom Jenks

Richard Smith was born in 1945 in New York City and raised in North Carolina and Virginia. He has worked for law firms and businesses in Cleveland, Chicago, and Southern California. Smith is retired and lives in San Clemente, California, and in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, with his wife, Annette.

Tom Jenks is coeditor of Narrative. He is the author of A Poetics of Fiction: Six Chapters on the Art of Imaginative Prose, and of My Reading: James Baldwin's “Sonny's Blues.”
