Robert Garner McBrearty’s short stories have been widely published in literary magazines and collected in the Pushcart Prize anthology. McBrearty is the author of a story collection, A Night at the Y (John Daniel, 1999), and teaches writing at the University of Colorado. In his early years as a writer, he worked variously as an English teacher in Mexico, a dishwasher, a night clerk, a mental hospital attendant, and a newspaper columnist. He is married and the father of two teenage sons.
