Ron Tanner, a finalist in Narrative’s 2020 Fall Story Contest, is the author of several books, including the story collection Far West (2021) and the novel Missile Paradise, named a notable book by the American Library Association. He is also the recipient of a Faulkner Society gold medal, a Pushcart Prize, a New Letters Award, and a Best of the Web Award. He lives on an historic farm in Maryland and directs the nonprofit Good Contrivance Farm Writer’s Retreat.
