Tim Johnston was born in Iowa and holds degrees from the University of Iowa and the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He is the author of the novel Never So Green. His story collection Irish Girl received the Katherine Anne Porter Prize in Short Fiction, and his work has been anthologized in Children Playing Before a Statue of Hercules, The O. Henry Prize Stories, and in Best of the West. Johnston lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
