Toni Piccinini

Toni Piccinini was born in a tiny coal-mining town in western Pennsylvania and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh. Having earned a degree in microbiology, she notably published work on the efficacy of certain antibiotics and is the author of several essays and reviews. The owner of a “Top 100” restaurant in San Francisco, she has won several culinary contests, including one in which one hundred pounds of pasta was awarded in her name to the San Francisco Food Bank. Piccinini lives in Marin County, California.
