Wyn Wachhorst is the author of Thomas Alva Edison: An American Myth and The Dream of Spaceflight: Essays on the Near Edge of Infinity. For NASA’s Decadal Planning Team, Wachhorst wrote an inspirational long-term mission statement, and he continues to compose speeches and articles for astronaut Buzz Aldrin. He earned his PhD in American history from Stanford University and has taught history and American studies at the University of California and San Jose State. Wachhorst lives in Atherton, California.
