Absolutely wonderful story!

Lovely how Armstrong weaves each character's self-doubt into the narrative until I finally see: it is part of the human condition.

I've been reading short story collections lately that are labelled "masterpieces." None of them captured me more than this story. Superb.

All I can say is "breath-taking."

That's a very fine story!

Beautiful. I especially admire how the story moves from one time and place without feeling jumpy, contrived, or lacking.

What a haunting, bittersweet story. Well done.

What a gorgeous story—pacing, characterization, atmosphere and tone. Thank you.
